My Thoughts…

This is a debut book from Kate Ashenden.    I love picking up a debut book, it means there is nothing to tell me what to expect.  Will I love it?  I always have hopes that I will enjoy it.    Kate’s book, Wanted in Paradise, is a great first book.   I enjoyed the beautiful beach setting, the charismatic characters, and the fun storyline.

I’d have liked more information about the concert and the reasoning behind it since it was the reason for Jasmine and Romeo to be in the Maldive Islands.    There were a few side storylines that didn’t seem to add much to the story and I wonder if there should have been more about them or if I just missed their importance.

Romeo and Jasmine’s relationship was interesting and intense.   They either hated each other or loved each other.   It changed with each interaction.    It kept me on my toes and wondering if they could ever just be or if it would always be so quick to change.

For a debut novel, this was a fun and easy read.   I will be looking for more from Kate Ashenden.
