Publisher's Summary

The Remingtons are a series of stand-alone romances that may also be enjoyed as part of the larger Love in Bloom series.

In Slope of Love....

Olympic gold medalist skiers Jayla Stone and Rush Remington have been best friends for years. They've seen each other at their best and worst and have kept each other's secrets without fail. Only there's one secret Rush has kept close to his chest. After months of introspection, Rush realizes he's been filling his bed but not tending to his heart. He's changed his womanizing ways, and the only woman who can fill his heart has been right by his side all this time.

Years of intimate conversations and the sharing of hopes and dreams collide when Rush reveals his secret, and one toe-curling kiss changes everything between Rush and Jayla. They're no match for the passion that kiss ignites, or the pull of true love. But being Rush's best friend means knowing all about his revolving bedroom door - and Jayla has a secret of her own that could jeopardize her career and her relationship with Rush. Even their love may not be enough to overcome Rush's past or secure Jayla's future.

MY THOUGHT...

I am not sure how an author picks their narrator when taking the written word to an audio version but Melissa Foster picked the perfect one with BJ Harrison. I find his tone and cadence perfect. It is easy to follow the story and relate to the characters. There is emotions in his words that add so much to the story.

This is book 13 in Melissa Fosters Love in Bloom series and I have read each and every one. Each one is it's own story with characters that are so familiar that I believe they are my friends and family. This series is so unique in how it can pull the reader in from the very first page, keep them entertained throughout the entire book, and then continue the story in the next book in the series.

It is hard for me to pick my favorite parts of this story. I am a downhill skier and watching competitive skiing is one of my favorite sports to watch so relating to the injuries, the feeling of going down the hill, and the equipment being used was so familiar to me.

I found it easy to relate to Rush and Jayla. Their friendship was easy from the very beginning. There was no doubt that they were BFFs and destine to be together. Once again Melissa introduced me to my book crush.

I am struggling to tell you more of what I loved without giving away the best parts of the story. All I can tell you is that this is a book and series that you must read.

Exclusive Excerpt:

He appreciated every inch of her, including that big brain that she didn’t hesitate to use to best him whenever possible. That was some pretty sexy shit right there.
“Are you not a meat eater? Because that’s something I should know up front.” The kind of thing Wren should put in her file. Damon didn’t think that was too much to ask.
As predicted she frowned at him. Shot him one of those you’re-wasting-time looks that she’d been using on him nonstop since they met. “Are you serious right now?”
“Because I eat a lot of burgers and if that’s going to offend you, I can eat something else. I won’t like it, but I will.” Her fidgeting must be rubbing off on him because he picked up his fork then set it down again.
She leaned across the table. “How many burgers?”
Now this was a topic he could handle. Especially since she asked the question in a soft voice, as if they were sharing a secret. “Every day.”
She sat back hard in her seat again. “You do not eat a hamburger every day.”
He ignored the horror in her voice. “True. Some days I mix it up and order a cheeseburger. If I’m feeling particularly frisky I’ll have a steak sandwich.”
“That seems like an invitation to heart disease.” And she was back to shifting around. She crossed and uncrossed her arms before she grabbed for her napkin again.
He could not stop watching her. Energy buzzed off her. He found the mix of tough talk and nervous fidgeting unexpectedly hot. “You’d think, but no.”
“I’m going to pretend you’re kidding.”
“I’m not.”
She cleared her throat. “Shauna.”
They could circle back to food because she had his attention now. He refused to joke about this topic. “Your sister.”
“She’s three years older.”
He noticed she didn’t use the past tense. Shauna died ten years ago and Cate still saw her as an “is.” For Damon, that meant treading carefully. “And you are . . . ?”
“Twenty-nine.”
He knew that answer before she said but thought keeping her to facts might help her emotionally wade through the next part. He’d helped Wren with other cases and this piece—dealing with the grief—never got easier. Damon had a load of grief and guilt of his own piled on top of hers, so he got it.
He nodded to her. “Go ahead.”
“The questions you ask don’t seem that pertinent.”
“I’m going to be honest with you.” He started to lean forward when the waiter came by and dropped off their food. The smell of grilled hamburger filled his senses as he reached for his folded napkin and threw it across his lap.
She didn’t move. “That would be a good way to start.”
“Wren already gave me a file he had on you. The man is an expert at collecting information and then making Garrett put it together in a nice big, easy-to-understand breakdown of what happened and when.”
For a few seconds she sat there, quiet, as her gaze moved over his face, studying him. “Then why are we here doing the get-to-know-you thing?”
He popped a french fry in his mouth. “I’m hungry. That happens a lot. The need-to-eat thing. So, you’ll need to get used to it.”

RELEASE PACKAGE of Just Like This by Rebecca Gallow

Title: Just Like This
Series: Just Like This Series #1
Author: Rebecca Gallo
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: June 28, 2018 Cover Design: Amy Queau/Q Design

When I saw him I knew - I had been waiting for something just like this.
And then, in the blink of an eye, he was gone.
After giving up a lucrative career in Seattle, I was content with my life in Gig Harbor, taking care of my father during his battle with cancer. Until I met Garrett and he showed me what my life was missing.
Passion. Desire. Love.
Two weeks was nothing but to us it was everything. We scrambled to make the most of our short time together but bitter jealousy, painful truths and devastating grief forced Garrett and I to prove to one another that love can grow almost instantly.
The memories we created were supposed to last, were supposed to carry us through our darkest moments. But what if Garrett doesn’t return? What if I never feel something just like this again?

“I have something kind of awkward to ask,” Garrett said quietly once we left the bar and were in the car headed back to my house. I was itching to ask him about his text messages, to have him say the words he had typed aloud, but I couldn’t help but wonder how much influence the liquid courage provided by alcohol had on his bold declaration. When he finally said them to me, he needed to be stone-cold sober.
“Okay,” I replied.
“Can I stay in your guest house until I deploy? Palmer kind of kicked me out.”
Under my breath, I muttered, “Asshole.” Palmer seriously needed to grow up and get a clue. There was never going to come a day when I was going to change my mind. He needed to accept that and move on. Otherwise, we couldn’t be friends.
“Yes, of course,” I told him. “I kind of have a favor of my own to ask.”
“Whatever it is, the answer is yes.”
I winced. “You should probably wait until you know what it is first.”
“Fine. What can I help you with?”
“I’d like you to meet my father,” I said timidly.
The car became uncomfortably silent, and I didn’t have to look at Garrett to know he wasn’t expecting me to ask that.
“He asked about you today,” I elaborated. “He wanted to know if you’re handy around the house.”
Garrett chuckled softly. “I know enough to get by. Why did he ask?”
I explained to him how Valerie embarrassed me when we went to visit my dad. “I didn’t really want to tell him,” I admitted. “But I think he wants to know that I’ll be taken care of after he’s gone.”

REVIEW & GIVEAWAY of Anything for Love by Melissa Foster

Embracing Her Heart (The Montgomerys Book 1) by [Foster, Melissa] NEW RELEASE........
Discover the magic of New York Times bestseller Melissa Foster's writing, and see why millions of readers have fallen in love with the Bradens.

In Anything For Love.... After Charlotte Sterling loses her last family member, she moves to Sterling House, her family's Colorado mountain inn, to live a solitary life. As an erotic romance writer, her days and nights are filled with passion and intrigue-even if only fictional. She loves her busy, quiet lifestyle, and she learned early on that real men can't live up to the fictional heroes she creates-until ruggedly handsome Beau Braden arrives to do some work at the inn and, for the first time in forever, she's intrigued by a real man.

Beau lost his first love years ago, and he's never let go of his guilt over her death. As he nears the anniversary of his loss, he is on the cusp of becoming the star of a home-renovation reality show. Escaping the painful memories of his past to work at the defunct old inn is just the promise of solitude he needs to clear his head before diving in to the all-too-public career. But he didn't count on being attracted to the whimsical, adorably sexy innkeeper.

Neither Charlotte nor Beau is looking for an attachment or a fling. But the more they learn about each other, the closer they become. Romantic evenings lead to intimate conversations, and neither can deny their deep connection or the passion it sparks. They've never fully healed on their own, but together maybe anything is possible.

The Bradens & Montgomerys are part of Melissa's Love in Bloom big-family romance collection. All Love in Bloom novels are written to stand alone and may also be enjoyed as part of the larger series, so dive right into this fun, sexy romance.

**CONTENT WARNING: Due to mature content, recommended for readers aged 18+**

My Thoughts…

I love how consistent Melissa Foster is with her writing.   With each book of hers that I read, I find real characters with lives that are believable and friends that are so true to each other.      Each book is a new and amazing story with no cliffhangers.      The characters from other books in the series make an appearance so we can catch up with what is happening in their lives while meeting new characters that we hope to learn more about in future books.

Anything For Love is the story of Charlotte and Beau.   Charlotte lives alone in her family’s mountain inn while Beau is running from his home after losing his high school sweetheart.     Beau is a man who loved, lost, and now blames himself.   He takes jobs that require traveling just to stay away from his home.    When asked by Hal Braden (I love him and his matchmaking) to take a job helping Charlotte with repairs at the inn he jumps at the chance.    Charlotte seems oblivious to much that happens around her.   She is so wrapped up in her writing that she lives in a fiction world most of the time.      Together they work together.    Charlotte pushes, pulls, and supports Beau while he tries to find his way back to happiness and Beau forces Charlotte to open her eyes to the world around her.

I am excited for this series to continue.    The Braden’s and The Montgomery’s coming together is a set of books is a dream come true.    They are perfect together and I cannot wait to see where these two families are headed.

About LAWBREAKER: Raised on the streets, Shay Morgan yearns for a real family, where love is unconditionally offered—even when trust doesn’t come easy. Before that day arrives, she trespasses and steals in order to provide for the few people who’ve gone out of their way to protect her. Born to privilege, Ben Bishop loathes his family for the despicable things they’ve done, and not done. He vows to be different, play by the rules, do the right thing. Building a thriving nightclub with those who share his values dominates his world. One explosive night at his bar, Loading Zone, changes everything. For both of them. Forever. A dance of opponents commences as they thwart with suspicion, start to trust, then sidestep to protect themselves from a fatal blow. Until they soon wonder if they’ve been fighting for the same side all along. As they begin to open their hearts, they up the stakes with a one-week pact. She shows him the power in breaking the law. He demonstrates the virtue of following it. Then a far-reaching crime is suddenly exposed—that his family committed. And for one chance moment, Shay and Ben hold the key to right the wrong, correct the injustice. But at what cost? Will they be able to return from the other side together? Or will their differences tear them apart?

Flirting with danger...has never been so tempting.

***LAWBREAKER is a standalone, full-length new adult romance told in dual POV. Due to mature themes and adult language, this book is for those 18 and older.***

Exclusive LAWBREAKER Excerpt:

“Ben!” Some overly excited female across the room shouted the name at the exact moment it settled into my mind. An instant wave of energy crackled through the nightclub, hotter and more alive than anything the music or dance floor pulsed out. Slight movement rippled through the vast space of the reclaimed warehouse—toward the same metal roll-up entrance door that had been haunting me all night—as heads craned to see, breasts pushed out a little farther, and bodies pressed closer, like a powerful magnet pulled them uncontrollably forward. Even I couldn’t look away. After the initial crowd crush, I could see his occasional nod, a brief smile. He angled deeper into the club and scanned an assessing look across the bar, starting at Cade’s end. Seconds later, his sights landed on me—and stayed there, fierce gaze locked on to mine. My breath caught at the intensity radiating from halfway across the room. Ben. His simple name echoed larger than life in my head. The crowd parted as he strode through the room. He stood a good head taller than other men he passed. Broad shoulders strained his black T-shirt with every slight rolling turn as he moved. Dark hair, cut closer on the sides, curled down over one side of his forehead. Shadowy stubble covered a defined jawline as it clenched. Thick brows drew together over eyes that narrowed as he stared hard at me. He stepped through the now three-deep crush at the bar, then planted flat palms on the edge of the metal bar top in front of me. “What are you doing back there?” he snarled, tone low, heavy with accusation. Cade braced his arms on the bar beside me, mirroring him. “She’s a new hire.” Ben never looked away from me. “I asked her.” Holding his unwavering gaze, I straightened my shoulders, undaunted. “Her name is Shay. And she’s behind your bar...working. Hard.” Dark eyes narrowed a fraction more, boring into mine. “How old are you?” Great. Here we go. “Old enough.” All he needed to know. A muscle in that clenched jaw tightened. “Not what I asked.” “You sure about that?” Because yeah, I looked young, no matter how old I really was. But his heat-seeking-missile aggression? Totally unwarranted. “ID.” He kept at the groundless demand. “I’m not some underage club-bunny at the door. I’m an employee. I’ve already been hired.” “I don’t give a shit. I’m the boss. And I want to see your ID.” “No.” Not gonna happen. I couldn’t risk it. He gave a slight nod, smug satisfaction in his eyes. “So, you’re not eighteen.” “I didn’t say that.” Yet somehow, I sensed our verbal tug-of-war had dragged me across lost ground. “Are you or aren’t you?” “I am,” I gritted out, angry that I’d been foolish enough to want something so bad. “Then no big deal.” He rose back to his impressive height, crossing his arms, confidence plastered on his face. “Prove it.” Damn. My first weekend night, not even a full one, and already the life I’d earned, had fought and bled for, had begun to slip through my fingers. Disappointment seeped heavy into my chest. What naïve people got for having hope. The inborn fight in me remained. Pride too. With every tightening breath, fury burned my lungs, for being judged without cause. “No. You either believe me…or you don’t. I filled out my application. Gave my ID then. Got interviewed. Got hired. And I’ve proved myself over the last few days, tonight. Ask anyone here.” “Doesn’t matter.” But it did. My actions mattered to me. They were all my life had been based on. Everything I’d ever accomplished had been from what I had done—not who I was, what anyone thought, or what society believed. I crossed my arms too, refusing to bend, by principle, if not more. His expression hardened. Commotion grew around us, two immovable blocks of granite, as thirsty patrons called out for drinks. Cade steadfastly remained beside me. While the poor lone fresh-shift guy hustled ass to fill orders. The atmosphere grew charged between Ben and me. The sounds of the club faded to background noise as my heart thumped harder against my ribs, my pulse drummed louder in my ears. Ben planted his hands on the bar again, staring me down as he leaned forward inch by inch. His eyes bored deep into mine, penetrating. Any other girl might’ve thought intimidating. I didn’t twitch a muscle. He towered over the bar, head lowered, a ferocious wolf who’d cornered an unknown threat. That shaggy dark hair spiked over darker piercing eyes. Unshorn scruff peppered an unforgiving jaw. An unhidden snarl curled his lip, baring white teeth. No resemblance to the wholesome happy guy I’d spied on in the pictures hanging on his office wall. Oddly, more attractive. Most women would’ve gone weak in the knees. Some would’ve put on a layer of flirt, feigning vulnerability or exposing true fear, hoping to snag the obvious alpha in spite of the glaring warning signs. Maybe because of them. I’d never been a bleating sheep in my life, wasn’t about to pretend with fluffy false clothing. Wolf, too, buddy. I leaned forward, matching him inch for inch. My trim nails clicked on the bar top as I dug in, holding my ground. Alpha all the way.

REVIEW of Blood Match by K.A. Linde

As the provocative, sensual Blood Type series continues, the rare bond between Reyna and Beckham is threatened by betrayal, greed, and twisted secrets. A desperate human. A powerful vampire. A world divided. Reyna Carpenter was promised paradise. She was delivered into hell. Giving up her body for money was supposed to be the hardest part of becoming a blood escort. She never expected to lose her heart to her dark, enigmatic boss, Beckham Anderson. After being taken by a depraved captor who plans to rule the world, Reyna will do anything to return to Beckham. She just has to find the will to survive this game. From the pawn, rises a queen. Note: Reyna and Beckham’s story begins in Blood Type and continues in Blood Cure.

My Thoughts...

Blood Type is a series that must be read in order.   Blood Match is book two and picks up exactly where Blood Type (book one) left off.     Reyna is still being held by Harrington, Beckham has not saved her, and she is trying to figure out how to escape the hell she is in.

This will be a tough review to write without giving away spoilers.     There is so much wonderfulness in the story but to share it would be giving away too much.    So I will keep it simple.    The storyline is amazing.   I am a vampire story fan and love that this is not the typical human falls for a vampire; they change her, and their love blossoms.     That is not what Blood Match is.   There is the human/vampire love story but this is the story of a vampire who has figured out a way to get power, too much power and is taking advantage of those who are not so powerful.     I love that there is depth, mystery, and drama to the story.    There are characters that are relatable and likable.

This is a MUST-READ book.   Read Blood Type first, meet Reyna, Becks, Penny, and the rest of the characters.   Learn about their lives, their loves, and their hates.   See where life is leading them.    You will not be able to stop reading.

AVAILABLE NOW Amazon US Amazon UKiBooksB&NKoboGoogle Play

“Please.” She wasn’t above begging. “I’ve waited so long.”
“I won’t bite you,” he said, his face sliding down between her legs. A fang nipped at the sensitive artery in her inner thigh. “But I bloody well want to.”
Did she even care if he bit her? It would be a relief after what she’d endured. A relief to feel that connection so acutely. But she wouldn’t press him this time. She remembered how they’d gotten carried away. He’d taken too much, drank too deeply, and she could have died. They needed to take it slow.
The blood. Not the sex. She needed that right now.
His finger slicked through her wetness and began to massage her clit. She vibrated from the sensation. She didn’t know if she’d be able to hold out before he was inside of her.
Then his eyes found hers again. His boxers disappeared and then his cock was in his hand. He massaged the length of himself as he watched her walk on a tightrope. Any second she was going to fall off and into oblivion. Nothing and no one had ever made her feel so good. No. No one had ever made her feel.
“So . . . close,” she ground out.
One powerful thrust seated him to the hilt within her. She cried out as he stretched her to the max. No warning or preamble just his cock inside of her, filling her to completion.
Her walls clenched around him. She was so close, but instinctively, she knew he wasn’t going to let her release without him.
Then he started moving. A slow pull out and a quick drive inward. Once, twice, three times.
“Not yet,” he said, his eyes commanding.
She tried to hold back. She could wait. Oh God, she could wait.
Then he started up the rhythm again. Setting his own course, owning and claiming her body. Reclaiming everything that he’d lost in that one moment of stupidity on her part. In his one moment of weakness.
She could see in his eyes the weight that loss had cost him. The toll it had taken on him for giving into his urges, for finally relinquishing his hold on himself. His eyes said he’d never do it again. His eyes were a promise.
“Becks, come with me,” she cried, clutching the sheets.
He grasped her hips and owned her body where he refused to own her blood. Taking everything she would give him, but not everything he wanted. Not everything she wanted.
She was so close. She looked in his eyes and knew they would finish together.
Reyna woke up screaming.
She jolted upright in her overly plush king-sized bed with its too many pillows and too much softness. Her hair was plastered to her face. Sweat coated her body, soaking through the thin white shirt she’d worn to bed.
Her eyes adjusted to the dim lighting and she looked around the small room. Everything was in place. Nothing had changed. Not a damn thing.
Beckham wasn’t here.
It had been a dream. A sick dream. A desperate horrible dream.
Her hand moved to her cotton panties and found the slicked wetness still there. The ache still building in her lower half from lack of release. The aftereffects of the dream. It had felt so real. So very real.
She had felt him moving inside of her. She had seen the love in his eyes. She had known his remorse.
But none of that was real.
That was her imagination at work. Conjuring his face just to torture herself with his absence. Remembering the feel of his body and the love in his eyes, only to know that he hadn’t found her. Aching for one more view of him.
It had been fifty-five days since she’d last seen his face.
Reyna made a mark in the notebook next to the bed.
Fifty-six.
