The Marriage Auction: Season One, Volume One by Audrey Carlan
What would you do for three million dollars?
Four young women enter into a clandestine auction to be married to the highest bidders. For no less than a million dollars a year, for three years, each woman will do what it takes to secure her future. Entangled in a high-stakes game of money, lust, power, and the hope for absolution, this group of women becomes a sisterhood unlike any other.
Once chosen by a man she’s never met and agrees to marry sight unseen…there is no going back. Hidden secrets, wicked desires, fiery couplings and intense family drama are all part of the deal when you willingly enter into The Marriage Auction.
You may now kiss the bride…
My Thoughts: The Marriage Auction reads like a 4 romance books in one. Their stories are intertwined but each woman has her own future to worry about. The women are all looking to escape their current lives and secure their futures for different reasons. They can escape by marrying the highest bidder at a Marriage Auction.
Each woman was someone I could relate to for different reasons. I cannot imagine the lives that they are leaving and am excited to see what their futures hold. These women are strong. They are doing what they have to do to get away from what is holding them back while also setting themselves up for a future that they can be self-reliant and financially secure.
The Marriage Auction is steamy but also has humor, friendships, love, and compassion. I am excited to read Volume Two.
