Synopsis: From the New York Times bestselling author of Taking Chances, From Ashes, and Stealing Harper, comes the new unforgettable adult romance Molly McAdams’ fans have been waiting for—the sizzling story of a young woman who must place her trust in the one man who can break through her defenses.
A night they will always remember…a connection neither can deny…a secret that could destroy it all…
When Kennedy Ryan moves to California, she never expects to come face-to-face with Liam Taylor—the intriguing man who has haunted her thoughts for a year.
A man who led her to breaking every one of her rules for a single night of passion that ended up meaning more than it was ever supposed to. Accustomed to disastrous experiences with men, Kennedy shields herself before he can break down more of the carefully built control she’s clung to for the last four years. But every time she sees Liam, she feels her resolve weakening.
Liam Taylor has been asked to help socialize his boss’s nieces. But what he thinks sounds more like a babysitting job ends up leading him to the only girl who ever slipped away before morning—a girl he thought he’d never find again. And now that she’s within reach, Liam’s determined to never let her go.
But when a secret from her past tests their relationship, will they be able to cling to the trust Liam has worked so hard to build?
My Thoughts…
Remember that guy (or girl) that made such a first
impression on you that you have never forgotten them? That is the relationship between Kennedy
and Liam. While their first meeting
was in Vegas, while drinking, never exchanging names, and involved a one night
stand it was unforgettable for them both.
Of course, they meet again. The
sparks instantly fly yet Kennedy denies them. Liam is determined to make her feel for
him what he feels for her.
I love Liam. MAN
CRUSH!! He is tough, sensitive, and so
alpha sexy. On top of all that he loves
Kennedy and is willing to give her the time to come to her senses and fall in
love with him. He realizes that he has
to not push her and her feelings. The
fact that Kennedy’s past is what is holding her back, not really her feelings
for Liam, makes it that much more frustrating for Liam. It is hard to fight what you don’t know.
Kennedy is a twin, which I love. The relationship with Kiara, her sister, was
the best. They understood each other,
complimented each other, and gave each other the time each needed to work
through what was going on in their lives.
From the story, their home life was good, yet complicated. Having a detective for a dad made their
life interesting, thus the reason they left Florida and moved to California.
I have not read the rest of the books in this series, yet I
look forward to doing so. Usually I
read series books in order, in this case I could tell I was missing some
history of the characters but it did not
take anything away from the story.
Straightening, I turned and walked quietly from the room."-- Molly McAdams, Trusting Liam
