Book Review for Chasing Smoke by Piper Rayne

 

Chasing Smoke by Piper Rayne is now live! I've been running toward burning buildings for a decade. Collins isn’t supposed to smile at me like she does. She’s not supposed to let me in. And she definitely isn’t supposed to be the best part of my day. She was Caleb’s. I know that. The problem is, I can't stop wondering what it would be like if Collins wasn't just someone I was meant to protect. But mine. My Thoughts:  Slow burn firefighter romance… sign me up!  There are so many tropes in this book that is certainly has something for everyone.  I love the small-town setting, friends to lovers is always a favorite, he falls first wins me over every time and that is just a few of the tropes.  I recommend any romance reader picking up their own copy. Caleb is a hero, not just for his job as a firefighter but also for the care he takes of his best-friends widow, Collins.  He steps up when needed, gives her space as requested, and is just there for her.  I like them together.  He takes her on outings, encourages her to get back into living, and supports her as  she figures out how to be alone again.   As friends and more these two belong together.  Caleb and Collins are just perfect for each other. I love this story, it might be my favorite of the series.  I cannot wait to catch up with them in the next book and see where their story goes.  I will need an update on that amazing ending!
