Kiss the Girl by Samantha Chase is now live!
Savannah James is no stranger to heartache and loss. It wasn't enough to lose two sets of parents, now she's losing the only person she has left. Escorting Cash Coleman back to Magnolia Sound so he can say goodbye to his family is a no brainer if it means she gets to spend whatever time he has left with him. Once he's gone, it's back to her lonely life in Seattle. At least, that's what she thought would happen before she met Cash's family—and his youngest son.
When it comes to his father, Jackson Coleman isn't short on anger. So when the old man comes back to Magnolia Sound to say goodbye, he's determined not to care. But with Cash comes Savannah, and Jackson starts to question everything he's ever thought about his father—like why was he able to be a parent to a friend's daughter when he couldn't even be there for his own sons? As much as Savannah represents everything he resents about Cash, he also can't deny the intense attraction he feels for her.
After a lifetime of being left behind, Savannah finally found the one person she wants to stay. But in order to have a chance at a happily ever after with Jackson, she'll have to fight every instinct she has to not get attached.
My Thoughts: I want to live in Magnolia Sound. The beautiful beach settings, the quaint small towns, and the amazing characters all make it the perfect place to be. As I read each of the books in this standalone series, I find myself forgetting myself and falling right into the story. The characters become my friends, I become invested in their happiness, and I want to be part of their day to day living.
This is the story of Cash and Jackson. Cash is a father that just could not stay put. He lived a nomad life; he was not a constant in his family’s lives. He has come back to Magnolia Sound to die and hopefully mend some fences with his family. Jackson was not in town the last time his dad came to town, so he has had a longer time to stew in his anger towards his father, Cash. Savannah has also come to town with Cash, as his primary caregiver she is like a daughter to him.
I really enjoyed this book. The storyline is not new, but it was fun to guess what would happen next and who it would affect. Savannah and Jack had so much to work through and Cash was right in the middle of it all. I like that Cash knew he was not going to just walk back into his son’s lives and everything was going to be fine, he knew he had to explain things, take their anger and hurt, and earn their love.
Samantha Chase is a must-read author. I will always read her books and recommend them.
