Book Review for Save the Best for Last by Jennifer Probst

Save the Best for Last by Jennifer Probst is now live!

They're the best of enemies—both in need of a change—thrown together by a challenging twist of fate in a warm and witty romance by New York Times bestselling author Jennifer Probst.

Tessa Harper, makeover queen of a self-care media empire, loves a challenge. But when she's forced to satisfy her female readership's growing interest in sports, Tessa reluctantly seeks out Ford Maddox. The popular sportscaster, annoying friend of her bestie, and long-time sparring partner agrees to strike a deal. He'll give Tessa his expertise if she'll give him hers. Namely a makeover to help him get past the friend zone with the woman of his dreams.
Ford has always considered Tessa to be nothing more than a pampered elitist. But if she can turn his rough style and attitude into boyfriend material it's worth the aggravation. The plan is working. The problem is, Ford's also starting to see Tessa in a new light. And there's more to the complicated woman than meets the eye.
Ford is falling hard. But is he ready to give up his ideal love to take a chance on an opinionated, independent spitfire who's turning his life—and his heart—upside down?

My Thoughts:  I really enjoy these ladies.  I have read the first two books in this series and enjoy getting to know the ladies of Quench.  Save the Best for Last is Tessa’s story.   Her turn to find her prince charming and her happy ever after.

This is a story of enemies to friends, of high school mind games, and of true love.  It is the story of how you can change the outside of a person but it what is inside is what really counts. I did not love that Ford was chasing a woman who clearly was only after the chase and power when Tessa, the perfect woman for him, was right next to him but that was the story.

Save the Best for Last is an easy book to read.  From the beginning the reader should know how the story will turn out.  I loved catching up with the other characters from the first two books in the series and seeing how their relationships were going.   Mike and Emma are two of my favorites and I love that they are true secondary characters in all the books so far but seem to shine through at all the best times.

The Twist of Fate series does not have to be read in an order.  Each book is its own complete story.
