romance, close proximity, protective hero, alpha hero, he falls first,
strangers to lovers, chance meeting, reformed playboy, marriage of convenience.
When the woman who helps save his life needs a little saving
herself, Zander takes on a role he never saw himself playing—husband of
convenience. Irresistibly Wicked may be enjoyed as a
standalone romance or as part of the larger series.
Zander Wicked lives life fast, on his bike, on the job, and with women. But one
split second shatters his world and forces him to face truths he’s spent a
lifetime outrunning. His family doubts he can change, but Zander knows better,
and when the woman who helped save him needs more than a little help herself,
he sets out to prove everyone wrong.
Shauna Flores knows what it means to fight for survival. As an EMT and a person
in recovery, she’s rebuilt her life piece by piece while carrying the weight of
a best friend she refuses to give up on. The last thing she expects is to end
up bound to a man like Zander Wicked, or to find herself in a marriage of
convenience that blurs every line between right and wrong.
Two people with checkered pasts, an arrangement that ties
them together, and a future neither sees coming—one that will test their
limits, their loyalties, and the lengths they’re willing to go to for the
people they love.
Audiobook Review:
Oh the heat in this book. The
narrators, Savannah
Peachwood and Sean Masters,
brought that head to life. I could feel Zander’s
cockiness, his alpha male attitude, and his need to help Shauna. Savannah Peachwood, as Shauna, brought to
life how strong and self-reliant she is.
But it also brought to life how sexy and sassy she is. The dual narration is my favorite to listen
to and these two are perfect together.
Melissa Foster wrote the perfect book and then chose the perfect
narrators to bring it to life.
eBook Review: Holy hotness.
I am a Melissa Foster fan and have read all her books so far and this
one is the steamiest yet. I could not get enough of Zander
Wicked. His alpha protectiveness is just
what Shauna Flores needs, even though she may not have thought so.
Irresistibly Wicked is so perfect. I love the main characters, but I love just
as much the appearance of other characters from past books in this series. It was fun to hear about relationships,
babies, weddings, etc. and catch up with the going on of the Dark Knight
family. Each book in this series it’s
own complete story with different main characters, but the characters from past
books make appearances as secondary characters.
Thank you to the author for an audible copy of the book in
exchange for my honest review.

How long would you hold a grudge?
If you’re Eloise Hendrickson, the answer is twenty-five years. After being humiliated by her overseas pen pal in seventh grade, Eloise, now a successful writer, has never quite let go of that one mortifying moment. One bad breakup, a late night of drunken internet sleuthing, and a half-baked excuse to bust through writer’s block send her straight into the path of the boy she’s hated her whole life.
Her plan? Turn him into the villain of her next novel.
The plot twist? He’s not the jerk she remembers.Instead, he’s a charming chocolatier, a devoted family man, and awkwardly, a huge fan of her books. But as Eloise reconnects with the past, it’s not him who captures her attention, it’s someone else entirely. Someone unexpected. He’s rude, infuriating, and gets under her skin like no one else. He’s the exact opposite of the heroes she creates and the men she dates.
With new friends, a fresh perspective, and possibly the beginnings of something romantic—Eloise must decide if she’s finally ready to let go of the perfection she’s always demanded from herself as well as everyone around her, and embrace the unpredictable, wonderfully flawed life waiting for her.
Maybe her next bestseller won’t be about righting the past after all.
Maybe it will be about rewriting the future instead.Warning: This book may contain chocolate and possibly a happily ever after.
Author Bio:
I've always had a passion for Creative Writing. There's something special about being able to travel to a different place or become a different person with just the stroke of a pen—or in today's world, a tap of the keyboard. Maybe it all started with the soap opera-level drama I used to script for my Barbie dolls. Plot twists, emotional arcs, surprise twins... it was basically a writer’s room before I even knew what one was. Whatever the spark, storytelling quickly became my favorite creative outlet. I craft stories that keep me on my toes and constantly push me beyond my comfort zone. Deep characters you either root for or love to hate are the ones I’m most drawn to.
Exploring new places helps me uncover fresh and exciting settings for my books, but there’s nothing quite like a quiet walk in the woods or sitting by the ocean close to home. Turns out, plot twists and inspiration arrive just as easily with a sea breeze—or a few curious squirrels.
A Harlem Wedding by Tiffany L. Warren
From The Unexpected Diva author Tiffany Warren—a dishy and dramatic novel of the Harlem Renaissance and its most famous Black debutante, Yolande Du Bois, daughter of W.E.B. Du Bois, whose spectacular wedding to poet Countee Cullen was the society event of the year...even though the bride and groom were not-so-secretly in love with other people.
A summoning ritual gone awry kicks off a lush, witchy graphic novel series with joyful streaks of found family and polyamorous sapphic romance—in this first volume of the hit Webtoon coming-of-age story, now with bonus content.

Taken from Goodreads: Lexi Price runs an antiques shop she inherited from Gigi, her great-grandmother, in the charming Texas town of Morgan’s Grove. When Lexi stumbles on a mysterious necklace once owned by Gigi, she becomes curious about the secrets her great-grandmother may have been hiding from the family.
Lexi enlists the help of Graham Faulkner, a handsome history professor with an
affinity for World War II-era memorabilia. Together, they unravel clues about
the necklace and discover that the mysteries run even deeper than they
realized. Their search takes them on a quest that spans eight decades and
multiple generations.
As they work, Lexi and Graham grow closer, but Lexi’s relationship hang-ups
stand in the way. Will Lexi’s past prevent her from accepting the same
once-in-a-lifetime love Gigi discovered all those years ago?
My Thoughts: Everything is this book
tugged at my heart. Lexi’s relationship
with her Gigi and the way she carries on the traditions while also making the
store hers is perfect. I love how much
she cares about the store and knows that things have to advance in order to
stay in business. Graham is the perfect
professor. He is the one to step up to
help Lexi find the story behind the necklace.
I love how cautious he is of his own heart and of Lexi’s heart. He is the perfect gentleman.

Traci also adores all things British. She even owns a British dog (Corgi) and is completely addicted to Masterpiece Theater--must be all those dreamy accents! Aside from having big dreams of getting a book published, it's the little things that make her the happiest: deep talks with friends, a strong cup of hot chocolate, a hearty game of fetch with her Corgi, and puffy white Texas clouds always reminding her to "look up, slow down, enjoy your life."

In Jack London and Murder on Nob Hill by Ray M. Schultze, a murder Jack London witnesses vanishes from all official accounts, setting him on a path into areas defined by competing interests and guarded truths.
The narrative unfolds in 1898 San Francisco, where Jack’s concerns about the unacknowledged killing lead him to examine places characterized by long-standing disputes and informal structures of authority. As he navigates Chinatown’s alleys, he encounters evidence of disappearances and alliances that seldom draw outside attention. A woman tied to these elements complicates his understanding of what occurred, offering insight laced with uncertainty. Jack’s determination places him in the path of individuals who depend on discretion to retain control. His search exposes the deeper framework shaping interactions across the city’s hidden pockets.

What are the hazards of fictionalizing a real person?
The thought that you might be guilty of libel plays on your mind, which is a good reason to choose as a subject someone who’s been dead for at least a century! I fictionalized Bogart in one of my novels, and I sweated that one because he’s so iconic. You really feel the pressure of getting the personality down right. The last thing you want is some expert on the man telling you that you got it all wrong. Arrggg.
How do you come up with your ideas for novels?
Because I’m an independent author trying to seduce the major publishing houses, I’m always on the lookout for what the industry calls “high concept” stories—basically ones based on an outrageous or over-the-top premise like the idea of the writer Jack London getting involved in a murder investigation. Seriously?
When do you get your best ideas for writing?
Sometimes when I’m half-awake in the middle of the night or just rousing myself in the morning. Sometimes entire lines of dialogue pop into my head and I try to write them down before I drift off again.
You’ve written some international thrillers. Do you try to visit the setting when it’s a far-away place?
It’s a must for me. You can research your heart out on, say, Portugal or Austria, and probably uncover every detail your story needs—except for the intangible feel of a place. The only exception I made was my novel Beranek’s Stand, set in Iran. I chickened out on that one.
If you could time-travel, where would you go?
The bronze-age city-state of Knossos, on the island of Crete. It was the first sophisticated urban civilization of Europe, and the Minoans produced magnificent art and gloried in nature. By coincidence, Knossos happens to be the setting of my next novel…
Ray M. Schultze is the author of six novels, five of them works of suspense—The Last Safe Place, Combustion, The Devil in Dreamland, Decatur’s Dig, and Beranek’s Stand. His most recent novel, Russian River, is historical fiction. His interest in writing began in childhood with a handmade, folded-paper “magazine” that his mother encouraged. After graduating from the University of California at Riverside, he pursued newspaper reporting as a practical way to support himself while writing fiction. Over a twenty-five-year career, he covered politics, the legal system, and education for newspapers in California, Florida, and Arizona. When he turned to fiction full-time, he drew inspiration from authors such as Alan Furst and Ken Follett. Ray now lives in Santa Rosa, California, with his wife, Judi. They enjoy tennis, hiking, exploring the region’s beaches and headlands, and international travel—experiences that often shape his novels’ settings. He is also an award-winning woodworking artist.
