My Thoughts:
Samantha Chase writes books full of romance, family, and fun. Kiss Me is no exception. I started this book late in the afternoon and
did not go to bed before I finished the book.
I love that this is the 5th book in the Donavon Family series
but reads as a standalone. While it is
a standalone, the characters are familiar from reading the other books but if
you have not read the other books, no worries…you can start with this book and
then go back and read the others if you would like.
Patrick is Marissa’s boss.
There has always been an attraction between them, but they never acted
on it. Marissa is now being threatened
and Patrick decides to protect her, just for a year. As expected, things get heated, feelings get
involved, and that year may not be enough.
I enjoyed seeing their feelings come out, making them figure out what
exactly they want from each other.
There is no surprise happy ever after (HEA) but it was fun seeing them
figure out how to get there.
Kiss Me is a quick and fun book to read. The romance is quick, the story has no real
surprises. I felt that there were some
parts that could have been given a little more time.
