Book Review for 14 by J.T. Ellison

Taylor Jackson #2

14 by J.T. Ellison

Published:   May 19 2026

Genre:  Mystery Thriller, Romantic Suspense

Taken from Goodreads:  Ten victims, each with pale skin and long dark hair. All have been slashed across the throat, the same red lipstick smeared across their lips.In the mid-1980s the Snow White Killer terrorized the streets of Nashville, Tennessee. Then suddenly the murders stopped. A letter from the killer to the police stated that his work was done.

Now four more bodies are found, marked with his fatal signature. The residents of Nashville fear a madman has returned, decades later, to finish his sick fairy tale. Homicide Lieutenant Taylor Jackson believes the killings are the work of a copycat killer who's even more terrifying. For this monster is meticulously honing his craft as he mimics famous serial murders...proving that the past is not to be forgotten.

My Thoughts:   I devoured this book!  I am a huge J.T. Ellison fan, and this book is one of my favorites.   I could not put this book down and I was left hungry for more of Lt. Taylor Jackson.

J.T. Ellison writes a thriller with great attention to details without going too far. I could picture the scenes Lt. Taylor Jackson was seeing without the gore.  I could feel the anxiety the Lt. was feeling as she worked to catch Snow White.  The pride she took in solving her cases gave me no doubt that she would figure out this case.

The ending… YIKES!   I cannot wait for book #3 to see what is next.  The book did not end in a cliffhanger in the sense that there is an ending but it did end with a clue that there is more to come.

Thank you Thomas & Mercer for a copy of the book via NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.
