Do you have royal fever? Us too! You don't want to miss ROYAL MESS by Jenna Sutton - see another teaser below and be sure to preorder your copy today!

About ROYAL MESS

Available May 8th
From award-winning author Jenna Sutton comes the story of two princes who discover that falling in love is messy…
Prince Leo’s icy demeanor has earned him an amusing nickname—the Polar Prince. Unfortunately, the king doesn’t see the humor. If Leo wants to secure the throne of Alsania, he must improve his image. Participating in an organ donation campaign seems like a good start. He expects to donate his organs on his deathbed, so he’s surprised to be matched with a complete stranger who needs his help now.
Tessa Lulach hates to admit it, but she’s a damsel in distress. When a handsome prince offers to save her with a hunk of his liver, she joyfully accepts. She can’t wait to feel like herself again and return to her beloved flower shop. Instead, her identity is revealed, and the quiet life she loves is turned upside down.
As Leo and Tessa deal with the nosy public and ruthless paparazzi, she realizes the Polar Prince is much warmer than he seems—scorching hot, in fact. He willingly gave her a part of his liver, but can he give her his whole heart?
*****
Everyone loves Prince Marco of Alsania, despite his reckless antics … or maybe because of them. So why does sexy schoolteacher Cassie Lulach prefer a boring investment banker over him? Wounded by her indifference, he has an erotic encounter with a masked woman at a royal ball who reminds him of the one he really wants.
After another failed relationship, Cassie is frustrated with immature, inconsiderate guys. Wanting to escape reality, she attends a masquerade ball and finds herself alone with a masked stranger. For the first time in her life, she acts on impulse, only to end up pregnant and absolutely clueless about the identity of her baby’s father.
When Marco learns of Cassie’s pregnancy and her plans to raise the baby alone, he promises to be there for her, hoping she’ll finally see him as more than just a playboy prince. But then he discovers she’s the woman from the masquerade ball and panics. Will the truth destroy his chance to win over Cassie, or will he convince her that they can have their own happily ever after?

About Same Beach, Next Year

New York Times bestselling author Dorothea Benton Frank returns to her magical Lowcountry of South Carolina in this bewitching story of marriage, love, family, and friendship that is infused with her warm and engaging earthy humor and generous heart. One enchanted summer, two couples begin a friendship that will last more than twenty years and transform their lives. A chance meeting on the Isle of Palms, one of Charleston’s most stunning barrier islands, brings former sweethearts, Adam Stanley and Eve Landers together again. Their respective spouses, Eliza and Carl, fight sparks of jealousy flaring from their imagined rekindling of old flames. As Adam and Eve get caught up on their lives, their partners strike up a deep friendship—and flirt with an unexpected attraction—of their own. Year after year, Adam, Eliza, Eve, and Carl eagerly await their reunion at Wild Dunes, a condominium complex at the island’s tip end, where they grow closer with each passing day, building a friendship that will withstand financial catastrophe, family tragedy, and devastating heartbreak. The devotion and love they share will help them weather the vagaries of time and enrich their lives as circumstances change, their children grow up and leave home, and their twilight years approach. Bursting with the intoxicating richness of Dorothea Benton Frank’s beloved Lowcountry—the sultry sunshine, cool ocean breezes, icy cocktails, and starry velvet skies—Same Beach, Next Year is a dazzling celebration of the infrangible power of friendship, the enduring promise of summer, and the indelible bonds of love.

My Thoughts...

I love the setting of Lowcountry.     The beautiful settings, the wonderful beaches, and the rich foods are all things I think of when I hear Lowcountry.   As I read Same Beach, Next Year I would not help but picture myself at the beach, eating in the restaurants or dining rooms with the characters,   I could hear their voices, see their children, and learn their southern charm ways.

I am a Benton Frank fan.    She is an author that I look forward to her newest release.   Same Beach, Next Year seemed different to me. There were things that just seemed off, seemed not quite right.

A couple goes to their beach house and miraculously the teenage love of the husbands life shows up with her husband.  There is no doubt that the teenage couple still have some feelings for each other after 25 years of being apart. As a wife I’d struggle with this and it would not be okay.     I’d want to trust my husband but I doubt I’d be okay with the 4 of us being friends. There were too many clues that things were not okay.

Eliza, the wife of the man from the teenage couple, was a little much.    She had reason to doubt her husband but I felt like she wanted her husband, Adam, to be too perfect.    He did so much wrong but she didn’t give him any leeway either. Life is full of mistakes, we all make them, but forgiveness is a wonderful thing.    Eliza was just so judgmental, of everyone. Carl, the husband of the girl from the teenage couple, was a little too perfect. He was able to make things happen when someone needed medical care, he was too rich, too competitive, and not understanding enough with his wife, Eve.

There was no one who was innocent in this story.   Everyone had their own guilt, their own responsibilities in their marriages, and their own faults.

REVIEW of The Extraordinary Life of Sam Hell by Robert Dugoni

Hardcover, 448 pages
Expected publication: April 24th 2018 by Lake Union Publishing

Sam Hill always saw the world through different eyes. Born with red pupils, he was called “Devil Boy” by his classmates; “God’s will” is what his mother called his ocular albinism. Her words were of little comfort, but Sam persevered, buoyed by his mother’s devout faith, his father’s practical wisdom, and his two other misfit friends.

Sam believed it was God who sent Ernie Cantwell, the only African American kid in his class, to be the friend he so desperately needed. And that it was God’s idea for Mickie Kennedy to storm into Our Lady of Mercy like a tornado, uprooting every rule Sam had been taught about boys and girls.

Forty years later, Sam, a small-town eye doctor, is no longer certain anything was by design—especially not the tragedy that caused him to turn his back on his friends, his hometown, and the life he’d always known. Running from the pain, eyes closed, served little purpose. Now, as he looks back on his life, Sam embarks on a journey that will take him halfway around the world. This time, his eyes are wide open—bringing into clear view what changed him, defined him, and made him so afraid, until he can finally see what truly matters.

My Thoughts…

The Extraordinary Life of Sam Hell is a book that tells the story of a young boy bullied in school, protected by his mother, made to be a man by his father, and loved by his true friends.     I found it unique that it was a story told by the main character in both the present time and the past.    The present time was telling the story of his youth so the reader was able to see how the past shaped the man he is today.

I loved how protective Sam’s mother was of him.    She didn’t shield him from life rather she stood up for him, showed up that although he was “special” he did not deserve to be treated differently, and loved him entirely unconditionally.      There were times I wanted him to stand up to her or for her to step back and let him live his life but I also am a big believer that if a parent doesn’t stand up for their child who will.  Mrs. Hill proved that to be true.    With all my raving on Mrs. Hill do not forget Mr. Hill.    He worked hard for his family, stood behind Sam’s choices, and stood up to his wife when it was needed.   He taught Sam to be a man and not to be coddled all the time.    Mr. Hill was not a hands-off father, he was a dad who loved, protected, and taught important life lessons to his son.

I felt like the most important people of the story were Mickie and Ernie.   These two were his first friends in school, the friends he kept through his entire life, and the friends that as an adult were still in his corner.    These are also the friends that Sam stood up for when things did not go their way, they were true friends.   No matter where life took them the three of them kept in contact and maintained their friendships.

This is my first Robert Dugoni book but definitely not my last.    I started The Extraordinary Life of Sam Hell one night and could not put it down.   It is a book that I look forward to recommending to my friends.

REVIEW & GIVEAWAY of Embracing Her Heart by Melissa Foster

Embracing Her Heart (The Montgomerys Book 1) by [Foster, Melissa]
NEW RELEASE........
Welcome to Oak Falls, Virginia, home to horse farms, midnight rodeos, bookstores, coffee shops, and quaint restaurants where you’re greeted like family and treated like treasured guests. Buckle up for a wild ride. Like any Southern girls worth their salt, the sweet-talking, sharp-tongued Montgomery sisters can take men to their knees with one seductive glance or a single sugarcoated sentence.

In EMBRACING HER HEART…
Leaving New York City and returning to her hometown to teach a screenplay writing class seems like just the break Grace Montgomery needs. Until her sisters wake her at four thirty in the morning to watch the hottest guys in town train wild horses and she realizes that escaping her sisters’ drama-filled lives was a lot easier from hundreds of miles away. To make matters worse, she spots the one man she never wanted to see again—ruggedly handsome Reed Cross.

Reed was one of Michigan’s leading historical preservation experts, but on the heels of catching his girlfriend in bed with his business partner, his uncle suffers a heart attack. Reed cuts all ties and returns home to Oak Falls to run his uncle’s business. A chance encounter with Grace, his first love, brings back memories he’s spent years trying to escape.

Grace is bound and determined not to fall under Reed’s spell again—and Reed wants more than another taste of the woman he’s never forgotten. When a midnight party brings them together, passion ignites and old wounds are opened. Grace sets down the ground rules for the next three weeks. No touching, no kissing, and if she has it her way, no breathing, because every breath he takes steals her ability to think. But Reed has other ideas…

~ The Bradens & Montgomerys are part of Melissa's Love in Bloom big-family romance collection featuring alpha male heroes and sexy, empowered women. They're flawed, funny, passionate, and relatable to readers who enjoy contemporary romance and women's fiction.. All Love in Bloom novels are written to stand alone and may also be enjoyed as part of the larger series, so dive right into this fun, sexy romance.

My Thoughts…

I love second chance romances.     Embracing Her Heart is the perfect example of why I love them.     Grace and Reed were girlfriend/boyfriend in high school, although their relationship was kept a secret due to them going to rival schools.   They parted not because they didn’t love each other but because the loved each other so much that they let each other go to find their own ways.    Grace had dreams of going to the big city and directing, writing, and producing screen plays.   Reed swore to never leave Oak Falls but ended up fleeing to Michigan to hide from his memories of Grace.    Both characters followed their dreams, found their ways, and are living successful lives doing what they love.

Fast forward 10 years… both Grace and Reed are back in Oak Falls and of course are not able to steer clear of each other.   They also are not able to deny the sparks that are still sizzling between them.   I love that Reed is the one that is not willing to let Grace hide from her feelings.   He pushes her to talk about how she feels and what she wants.    He also is the romantic one.   He relives some memories, makes some that they couldn’t do together in high school, and helps makes so many new ones.    He is definitely one romantic soul who proves that he will do anything to keep his Gracie happy and in his life.

This is the first book in the Pleasant Hill-Oak Falls series.   The Montgomery Family is featured in the story and I cannot wait for more from them.  I love that the Braden Family is mentioned and know that they will be more prominent in future books in this series.

PLEASE NOTE: Future books in the original Montgomery series are crossing over to the Bradens at Pleasant Hill, and for this reason Melissa has combined the series into THE BRADENS & MONTGOMERYS (Pleasant Hill - Oak Falls).

SPOTLIGHT & GIVEAWAY of The Only Thing by Marie Harte

What do you do when a "fake" relationship is so much better than the real thing?

Hope Donnigan is finally getting her life together. She's working a job she likes, has some amazing friends, and is steering clear of Mr. Wrong. Now if only she could get her mother to understand that. Maybe a hot tattoo artist from the other side town is just the ticket to teach her mom a lesson.

J.T. Webster fell for Hope months ago at his sister's wedding. So when she propositions him to be her fake boyfriend to get her mother off her back, he's all in. The only problem is J.T. had no idea their pretend relationship would be better than anything real he's ever had…

a Rafflecopter giveaway

EXCERPT....Hope couldn’t find it in herself to blink, focused on God’s gift to womankind. Her aunt’s invitation to dinner had come at the perfect time, giving Hope an excuse to avoid her mother’s weekly nagathon. Since her idiot older brothers had hooked up with the loves of their lives, her mother had deemed Hope fair game again. So much for their pleasant détente, where Hope stopped blaming her mother for her many issues and Linda Donnigan stopped getting on Hope for breathing wrong.
Yet Hope hadn’t anticipated seeing J.T. Webster. He hadn’t been at the last two dinners Aunt Sophie had invited her to. “Greg?” she asked, her mind on other things.
Like how incredible J.T. filled out a simple T-shirt and jeans. The man had the prettiest chestnut-brown skin. She could stare at him for hours.
Liam was white, and she knew J.T.’s mom had been black. She also must have been gorgeous, because J.T. had his dad’s height and brawn, as well as the face of an angel who liked to sin. A lot.
She swallowed a sigh and continued to visually eat him up, wondering if the size of his hands and feet could be correlated to the size of other things.
God, get your mind off sex, Hope. His father is here! Aunt Sophie is here! And you’re off men, remember?
“Yeah, Greg,” J.T. said, looking concerned. “Gas Works Park ring a bell?”
Geez, she’d seen Greg and J.T. just last week. “Oh, no. No problems on that front.” To Liam, who studied her a little too intently, she explained, “Ex-boyfriend. A jerk I ran into. No biggie.” She shot J.T. a look, pleased when he kept quiet.
Last weekend, Greg, a guy she hadn’t dated or seen in over four months, had accused her of using her brother to bother him. But Hope hadn’t thought about Greg the Cheater since she’d dumped him, so she knew her brothers couldn’t care less about the guy. When Greg had tried to get a little gropey at the park, she’d taken him down, courtesy of the self-defense classes her brothers taught.
J.T. hadn’t had to do more than watch her take Greg out. She’d been so proud of herself… when she’d been able to tear her imagination from what J.T. would look like naked.
So sad those images replayed themselves over and over again.
“Right.” Liam stared from her to J.T., a question in his eyes.
“So who’s pregnant?” she asked, hoping to shift attention away from herself.
Rena squealed. “Del is! A tiny little bun in her McCauley oven.”
Del looked embarrassed, which was funny, because Del could out swear the mechanics she bossed around on a daily basis and took woman power to the next level. The woman had arms covered in tattoos, funky ash-blonde braids, and icy gray eyes that seemed to look through, and not at, a person.
Hope could see a faint resemblance from brother to sister despite their different skin tones. Both J.T. and Del had the same shape of their eyes and stubborn chins, just like their father. Only someone as obsessed with J.T. would have noticed that, she realized, and felt like a moron for being so enthralled with the man.
Fortunately, Liam and Rena started badgering Del for details, letting Hope off the hook.
Since she hadn’t yet greeted her aunt, Hope started to turn and found J.T. suddenly in her way. “Oh, sorry.”
He put a hand out to stop her from bumping into him. And sweet baby sexy, she felt the touch go from her arm all the way through her body, centering between her legs. Oy.

REVIEW of Bridal Girl (Blogger Girl #3) by Meredith Schorr

Paperback, 276 pages
Expected publication: April 24th 2018 by Henery Press

Warning: exposure to the contents of this book while eating or drinking could cause laughter-induced choking. Read at your own risk.

Sassy book blogger-turned-author, Kim Long, thought her life couldn’t get any pinker when she received a two-book publishing deal and a marriage proposal in the same night. The wedding plans are coming together seamlessly, from the catering to the flowers to her much-coveted appointment at the exclusive and world famous Kleinfeld Bridal. Her debut novel is flying off the shelves to celebrated reviews, and her second book is practically writing itself.

If only the above wasn’t a big fat lie.

If only Kim could drown out the conflicting opinions of her overzealous bridal party, most notably, her sister and future sister-in-law, who haven’t stopped bickering since day one.

If only everyone would adore her first book—or she’d take Nicholas’s advice and stop reading reviews—she might not second guess every new word she writes.

If only Nicholas’s past would remain there rather than threaten their future.
The pressure is on, the clock is ticking, and in walks Hannah Marshak.

Will the former “mean girl” lend a helping hand or make things worse? Will Kim ever write “The End” on her sophomore novel? And, will she and Nicholas make it down the aisle to say those two precious words: I do?

We’ll never tell. So, put on your reading glasses, fill your champagne flute/cup of tea and prepare to laugh with (and sometimes at) Kim as she rewrites her happy ending until it’s worthy of five pink champagne flutes.

My Thoughts…

I am once again brought into the world of Kim.   Kim is the original Blogger Girl and is now engaged, planning a wedding, celebrating her first published book, and writing her second book.     Sound stressful?   Heck yeah it is and Kim is struggling with it all.      Luckily she has the support of her fiancé Nicholas, her friend Bridget, and even Hannah her nemesis.

Bridal Girl is a perfect continuation of Kim’s life.    The story flowed like it was real life.   I think every bride feels the stress of planning her special day.   Everything from the in-laws, the dresses, and the rest of it is so much work that anyone would be overwhelmed.   Add to the wedding the excitement of her new book being published and the pressure of writing another one and who wouldn’t be going crazy with it all.      Kim’s reactions, feelings, and thoughts were so real.  I could relate to her fears, her excitement, and her stress.

Meredith Schorr has a quick wit, a great writing style, and a wonderful series.   I would love to read more about Kim and Nicholas, catch up with Hannah, and see where Bridget’s life is taking her.    This is a series that is more enjoyable reading in order.   The storyline continues from book 1 to book 2 to book 3.  Luckily they are all available right now.

RELEASE BLITZ of Anonymous by L.P. Dover

Title: ANONYMOUS
Author: L.P. Dover
Genre: Romantic Suspense Standalone
Release Date: April 23, 2018
Cover Designer: Regina Wamba
Every person has a story to tell. Some may be sweet with a happily ever after, but there are others that end in tragedy. Mine has yet to be finished.
My name is Elizabeth Kingston and this is where my story begins.
I never thought my life could be so perfect. I have an amazing job owning my own bakery, and a wonderful husband who I love and who loves me back. Never once did I have to worry about anything, at least, not until the texts started coming in. They always begin the same way … numbers that spell my nickname when read upside down.
31773
It’s someone from my past, only they won’t to tell me who they are, but that by talking to them, I’ll figure it out. It’s a game I refuse to play. Unfortunately, I’m left with no choice when things begin to take a dangerous turn.
His name is Anonymous and there’s only one thing he wants … ME.

It’s closing time and Vikki and I are busy cleaning, so we can get home. My phone beeps with an incoming text and I look down at it and growl. “You can’t be serious.” Staring back at me isn’t a text from Jake, but from Anonymous. Even though I deleted and blocked the number ninety days ago, I still recognize it.
Vikki moves closer, her eyes wide. “What’s going on?”
I show her the text.
Anonymous: 31773?
Brows furrowed, she sits back. “What does that mean?” I turn my phone upside down, so she can see that the number spells out my name. Her eyes widen. “Wow, that’s cool you can type your name with numbers.”
“But not so cool when I don’t know who the person is,” I counter. “About three months ago, I got texts from this exact same person. Whoever it is likes to play games. I’m sick of it and I want them to leave me alone.” Taking a deep breath, I type out a reply.
Me: WHO IS THIS?
Anonymous: Why all the yelling?
I roll my eyes. This is just ridiculous.
Me: I like using all caps.
Anonymous: Don’t stop on my account. So, what have you been up to? Been a while since we talked.
Me: Yeah, it’s because I blocked the number.
Anonymous: Why?
Me: BECAUSE I DON’T KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!!!!!!!
“What is he saying?” Vikki asks. I show her the texts and her eyes widen. “So, you haven’t talked to him since you blocked the number?”
I think back to when I blocked it and if my calculations are correct, the ninety days was up yesterday. “No, but he has perfect timing. My ninety days ran up yesterday. I might need to run to the cell store and see if they can block it permanently.”
My phone beeps again and a sharp pain settles in my gut. I just want whoever it is to leave me alone.
Anonymous: That hurts. You’ve always been friendly toward me.
Me: Obviously not friendly enough, if you can’t tell me who you are. It’s weird and it makes me uncomfortable. You need to leave me the hell alone. Don’t text, call, or try to contact me in any way. I’m happily married, and I want it to stay that way. GOODBYE!
Heart racing, I log into my cell phone account and before I can block the number, another text comes through.
Anonymous: Sorry 31773 but that’s not going to happen.
The blood in my veins runs cold. Hands shaking, I block his number and my phone drops onto the table. Vikki picks it up and reads the final text, her face growing pale.
“I don’t think this person’s going away."
